"Bright eyed & Bushy Tailed"

These are the words and the ideology that birthed this brand.

The idea was that children are often bright eyed and bushy tailed, full of wonder and curiosity. That is where our brand name, Bushy Tailed, comes from - coupled with the fact that the first doll I created was Fiddle the Fox, and he has a "bushy tail". 

I started Bushy Tailed in hopes of creating an impact on the lives of children, be it big or small. The children of today are the future of tomorrow. In order to have a bright future, we must look to our young and fill them with aspirations to do good.

 I've worked hard to come up with the designs for the dolls on my own. It was a trial and error process trying to create patterns that would fit together to form certain animals in a cartoon-like way. But in the end, I'm happy with how they've turned out because I put all my care into creating each and every doll.

I have recruited help along the way from my boyfriend, Cam, who is in charge of social media and logistics. Together, we have worked hard to bring this hope into fruition.

 We want children to be happy, healthy, and bright. They deserve our help and commitment.

For every hand-crafted doll purchased, 25% of proceeds will be donated to UNICEF, Feed the Children, The SickKids Foundation, and Children of Vietnam to give children in need -- all across the globe -- a brighter future.

If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen that I recently lost my dog of 16.5 years. He had been my best friend for more than half my life and losing him has been one of the most difficult things I have faced.

Our Pet Love Collection is to honour him in a way. I used to love making bandanas for him as a child, so now I'm making bandanas for all of your furry best friends. 

10% of proceeds from every product in this collection will be donated to the Ontario SPCA & Humane Society to help animals in need.
